I'm Aleena Pulivelil Thomas, a microbiology and biotechnology graduate from Kerala, India, currently pursuing my Master's in Applied Biotechnology at Hochschule Ansbach (University of Applied Sciences), Germany.

My journey spans cancer biology research at RGCB Trivandrum, pharmaceutical microbiology at HLL Lifecare, and hands-on training in fisheries technology — giving me a broad, multi-disciplinary foundation in the life sciences.

At Hochschule Ansbach, I have studied Applied Cell Biology, Bioprocess Engineering, Protein Purification, Analytics, Food Production & Development, and Bioeconomy. I am also proficient in R and R Studio for scientific data analysis, developed during my third semester where I achieved a grade of 2.3.

Expressed and purified DNA Polymerase I (Taq polymerase) from Thermus aquaticus. Utilised a 6xHis-tag system for efficient purification via nickel-affinity chromatography using magnetic beads — demonstrating recombinant protein expression and downstream processing skills.
